Equity Share

What is It?

The Beauty of this concept of ownership is that multiple individuals pool their resources to purchase real estate. By joining together they are able to buy into more profitable properties than if they were to go it alone. This idea has been around for many years but has traditionally been used in Commercial Real Estate. Because of the appreciation rate of the last several years it is becoming more attractive in the Residential Arena.

How Does It Work?

It's easy! Two or more individuals band together to purchase a property. Each individual is entered on the Deed and an enforceable legal agreement is entered documenting all aspects of the use and responsibilities of each party. This can be set up with any percentage of ownership and or use mutually agreed upon. The IRS even has a section about this type of ownership which allows each party to receive Tax Advantages on their contributions.
